Family Groups are the lifeblood of First College. We believe that fellowship and accountability are integral for a well-rounded Christian life. It is in our family groups that this type of life change happens. There are a number of options for you to choose from when it comes to age, gender, year in school, schedule, etc. Check out the options below.
Freshman Family Groups
Our Freshman Family Groups are intended to help you start your college journey off on the right foot. Each co-ed group is led by an upperclass "mom" and "dad” and meets weekly to have a time of fellowship, prayer, and learning by discussion. You will no doubt find an FFG that fits your schedule and helps you discover your Christian community in Tuscaloosa and at UA.
Upperclassman Reading Groups
Because we believe biblical community is integral to college students' walks of faith, it is our passion to provide a number of reading groups for our older students to plug into and invest in each other's lives. These reading groups are usually small groups of 3-4 upperclassman students who meet together once a week to pray together, read God’s Word, and have a time of fellowship. If you are a sophomore or above, these groups are for you! Stay tuned as we will be adding more details about these groups to our website very soon.
