RJ Voorhees // College Pastor

RJ is originally from Glen St. Mary, FL. He is a graduate of Florida State University and Beeson Divinity School (at Samford University). RJ came on staff at FBC Tuscaloosa as College Pastor in 2016. RJ is married to Casey and they have three children - Emmy, Everett, and Knox.

Becca Ferguson // College Ministry Associate

Becca is from Columbia, SC and graduated from the University of South Carolina. She is pursuing her MDiv at Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary. Becca and her husband, Luke, served as Fellows for the Tuscaloosa Ministry Fellowship in 2017/18. Becca came on staff in May 2018 as our full-time ministry associate.

ASHTON BELEW // Tuscaloosa Ministry Fellowship - 2018/19 and 2019/20 Fellow

Ashton graduated from the University of Alabama in 2018 and is now in her second year of graduate school for Speech-Language Pathology. She spent her undergrad years as a student at FCM, and served on our leadership team as an international ministry ambassador. Ashton served as our Ministry Fellow for the 2018/19 academic year and will be serving in the same capacity for the 2019/20 year. We are thrilled she has chosen to participate in our fellowship program for a second year!

Garrett Sellers // Tuscaloosa Ministry Fellowship - 2019/20 Fellow

Garrett graduated from the University of Alabama in 2019 and is about to begin his first year of graduate school pursuing a Master of Science in Aerospace Engineering & Mechanics. He grew up at First Baptist, and was very involved in the college ministry during his years in undergrad, serving on our leadership team and as our worship intern. This will be Garrett’s first year serving as a Tuscaloosa Ministry Fellow. Our staff and students are so excited to welcome Garrett to the team this year!

Stephen wilder // Tuscaloosa Ministry Fellowship - 2019/20 Fellow

Stephen graduated from the University of Alabama in 2019, and in August he will begin earning his Masters in Christian Education at New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. Stephen served as an intern his last two years in undergraduate, and he also served for multiple years on our college leadership team. This year will be Stephen’s first year as a Tuscaloosa Ministry Fellow. We are delighted that Stephen will be serving in our college ministry in this capacity!
